During my second day in China, I went to the office around 8AM. The office is just 5-10 minutes’ walk from our hotel. I found only one person in the office. I waited in one of the meeting rooms until the receptionist--Amy arrived and showed my way to my cubicle.
Ryan showed up too and we had our short introductions. He said he will be responsible for our accommodations in the office. During lunch time, he took me outside the office and walked down for the restaurants. I ate Zhou Fai Fan (that's what it sounds like), a chicken breast topped on rice meal from Hong Kong at the Cafe de Coral.
I started to feel ill in the afternoon so I went back to the hotel at 4PM. Thirty minutes later, John emailed me that they both, him and Aaron just arrived and checked in at the hotel and will be meeting with me at the lobby at 6PM. We ate dinner at one of the restaurants just around the hotel and bought some of our needs for the apartment like laundry liquid, etc. We'll be seeing each other again tomorrow for breakfast at 8AM.
Each of their food has their own rich taste. I like them all especially the spicy taste of fried quail with dried cut-into-small-pieces chili on top.
The grocery items' prices when converted to pesos are somewhat similar to the prices in our country.
I believe there will be no work for tomorrow in the office because we are still waiting for the equipment from Wilmington to arrive. Customs held them up because they said according to John that we can buy computers in China. I don't know what should be done.
One thing I am sure of, I will definitely enjoy my stay here.
